Worship

Charlie Hall (famous for songs like "Marvelous Light" and "Better is One Day") has released a new worship CD based on a pretty unique look at life and worship. Check out his thoughts and samples from the CD. Feel free to leave comments on his view or the CD's sound.

Personally, I love this CD. I think Charlie is absolutely right- Church, Christians, worshippers, are not beautifully perfect people. On the other hand we are truly imperfect people living in an imperfect world. It is in the midst of this imperfection that we find true perfection and beauty- the shining light of God.

This is why I love church- not because Christians are perfect and certainly I'm not, but it is a place where we come as we are to seek God together. To me thats pretty powerful stuff.

Sound- I like this album a lot. Its not quite as singable or catchy as Chris Tomlin. I probably wouldn't play this album to get me pumped up for the weekend, but it certainly has a sound that helps me relfect on both the reality of darkness and the light of God.
